nouveau lengthens too-short pants

bit of a mouthful that title ... but anyway, the little one, who is three, is still wearing jeans in a size one. they're a great fit on her, but getting too short in the leg - you know how it is. i scrounged around the local op shops but didn't find anything satisfactory. so i scrounged around at home, looking for some material i could use to sew her new pants, when i came across a whole bag of trims i stashed away for some reason (still haven't found the reason, though). i swear it was a lightbulb moment when my eyes happened to rest on that superb blue fabric whilst holding a handful of trims in one hand. i'm pretty chuffed with the final result. as the little one would say: "hooray for mummy!"
